Peggy Beltrone on Renewables

The Pew Charitable Trusts released a report today detailing what it says are key barriers to widespread deployment of renewable energy in the United States. In this evening’s feature interview with Edward O’Brien, former Cascade County Commissioner Peggy Beltrone weighs-in on the study. Beltrone is now a senior manager with Exergy, a renewable energy development company. Beltrone says the U.S. lacks a comprehensive and cohesive renewable energy policy.
    In tonight’s feature interview with Edward O’Brien, She says Montana’s wind energy industry has made gains over the years, but adds it’s not nearly living up to its potential:
The Pew report points out the potential revenue within the global clean energy sector could reach 2-trillion-dollars within the next 5 years.
Beltrone says that doesn’t seem like an overly-optimistic assessment:
