Governor Elect Steve Bullock has chosen former Missoula Mayor Mike Kadas to head the Department of Revenue. Kadas currently works as Director of Special Projects for Rivertop Renewables.
In a Press Release, the Bullock Campaign says:
“Kadas brings diverse private and public sector experience to the post. At Rivertop Renewables, he oversaw a successful multimillion dollar expansion of the business. During his 10 year term as Mayor of Missoula, Kadas managed a $100 million budget and hundreds of employees. In the state legislature, he served on the Appropriations, Local Government, and Business and Industry committees.
‘Mike knows what it’s like to balance a budget and make payroll, and he’s got what it takes to maintain our strong fiscal position,’ said Bullock. ‘I’ll look forward to working with Mike to making sure we take a balanced, responsible approach to managing the people’s money.'”
Current Revenue Director Dan Bucks served two full terms under Governor Brian Schweitzer.
