Threee years ago, Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist John Kaplan sought treatment for what appeared to be an otherwise inconsequential hernia. He left the doctor’s office with a cancer diagnosis.
Kaplan, who has since made a full recovery, documented his cancer battle. That film, “Not As I Pictured”, is now airing on PBS stations nationwide. In tonight’s feature interview, Kaplan tells reporter Edward O’Brien why he decided to turn his story into a film that’s generating acclaim within both the oncology and independent film communities.
