Sally Mauk talks with noted historian James McPherson about Lincoln’s legacy….

    Retired Princeton history professor James McPherson has been called “America’s Historian” because of the accessibility of his research. McPherson won a Pulitzer prize for his book “Battle Cry of Freedom”, and is a leading authority on the history of the Civil War. McPherson is in Missoula to lecture at the University of Montana. In tonight’s feature interview, he talks with News Director Sally Mauk about Abraham Lincoln’s legacy – a legacy that can be measured in part by the over 200 statues and sculptures of Lincoln around the U.S….
